MARY KAY ‘FACIAL IN A BAG’

MARY KAY ‘FACIAL IN A BAG’

So I get a little gift delivered a few weeks ago and was quite excited to receive it. I was offered a ‘facial in a bag’ by a lovely lady over at Mary Kay who has been ever so kind to offer it to me. This is my first time receiving some ‘free’ samples posted out for me to try so I was really happy to do so.

Timewise skin care products

I didn’t quite know what to think at first as I havent really heard much about Mary Kay, but apparently its very popular in America. I have previously used a couple of their makeup products and had no issues with them, and they suited my skin.

The facial in a bag is a little see-through bag It’s a really cute parcel and is great for’ trying before you buy’. I pulled out some samples which were – x1 Cleanser, x1 Moisturizer, x1 step 1 Microdermabrasion + x1 Step 2 microdermabrasion, x1 hand softener, x1 hand scrub and hand cream. There was enough in each sample to use a few times on my skin!

Microdermabrasion step 1 and 2

So in a bit more detail I started off with the instruction leaflet which gives clear instructions how they should be used.

Timewise 3-in-1 cleanser – It felt quite thick but it wasnt greasy at all, felt smooth and soft. What was great was all these products seem to be fragrance free so good if you have a sensitive skin. It also has small exfoliative particles in it which are ever so gentle, and can just about be felt. So I would say good for everyday use.

Timewise Microdermabrasion step 1 – This was the first part which I tried without water, but then realised I should have used it on very wet skin. I can see why as it is very abrasive…..it wasnt too much, just when I applied more water I was able to adjust the feel. This is great as I often like more of an abrasive feel on my congested area’s like my chin, cheeks and nose. When I was moving it around on my skin, I could feel my skin warming up and tingling………its doing something for sure. This left my skin very, very smooth and again non-irritating. If you like to feel a scrub working on your skin, then this is the one for you!

Timewise microdermabrasion step 2 – (replenish) – This wasnt what I expected as it doesn’t have any particles in and felt like a fluffy cream? Sorry for the lack of words to describe the feel of it. This did settle down the tingling sensation on my skin though which left it feeling soothed and replenished.

Timewise moisturizer this is for normal to oily skin types and is a thick cream. I wouldn’t normally go for a thick texture but I used a small amount, which goes a long way so would last very well. I have had no issues with my oily skin and felt very hydrated but not greasy afterwards. Even after a day at work my skin still feels soft and hydrated.

Satin hands set

Now I know that I was given samples to try, but I have managed to get a few uses out of all of them, I really like these products and would recommend them. They feel more like a higher end skin care range than high street products. I like the fact that everything was explained and I couldn’t go wrong with the products. I could see afterwards that my skin felt smoother, and looked nice and even in colour. I kept touching my face as it felt so good after using in particular the microdermabrasion steps. So now I am looking forward to trying the satin hands, which consists of a hand softener, hand scrub and hand cream. Hmmm love me some satin on me hands.

So guys if this is something that you want to know more about, then Pop over to the website here where you can have a nosey at whats to offer. http://www.marykay.co.uk/amiller1
